Berry Has Won The Idols SA Season 17 Ahead of Karabo

Berry Has Won The Idols SA Season 17 Ahead of Karabo.

Idols SA Season 17 Winner – Berenike Trytsman with stage name Berry has become the winner of 2021 Idols SA Season 17 at the Finale, ahead of her greatest competitor, Karabo Mathe. The event was aired live on Mzansi Magic DSTV Channel 161.

We all knew Berry got this cover from the start when she performed Loren Allred’s ‘Never Enough’ during her audition at early stage of the competition.

Berry is a blogger and songwriter who was born on May 7, 1990 in Cape Town South Africa. She loves cooking, baking and writing songs with her husband. Her favorite music icons are Karen Zoid, Tarryn Lamb and LIRA to name some.

Few of Berry’s memorable and fun performance on this Idols South Africa Stage were with DJ Cleo on the song “Choose To Be Happy” by the Disc Jockey, Etta James’ “Something’s Got A Hold On Me”.

One of her unforgettable quote during the show was:

Yes, I’m always smiling. Why? Because God is good!

I’ve been through ALOT in my life and sometimes it’s been really hard to get up for another day. But one thing has remained consistent, God’s love and grace.

Today I want to thank every single one of you that has voted for me, and me a message, commented on a post, liked a post, shared a post, saved a post, or even just encouraged friends and family to support me. The impact you have made on my life is bigger than you’ll know.

Berry dropped her new single, “Ungowami” during the Idols SA Season 17 Top 2 reveal! It was impressive. She entertained the Idols SA audience with her second go at “Never Enough” – the tune that got her into the competition in the first place and also “Something’s Got A Hold Of Me” to cap her wonderful Top 2 performance!

At the Idols SA Season 17 finale, the total votes accumulated was 12 Million and Berry took the highest votes to win. Mzu M was there live to perform the hit song “Mmapula” before Berry pull off a wonderful performance for the repeat of “The Edge of Glory” alongside The Mzansi Gay Choir.

Other live performances that couldn’t go unnoticed at the finale were Mafikizolo performing their latest song ‘Mamezala’, ‘Vula Vlomo’ by Musa Keys and Nobantu Vilakazi, Is’thunzi by Zama Khumalo, Oskido‘s performance of ‘Emakhaya.

To round off the Season 17 of Idols SA, Karabo Mathe and Berry performed a duet! “We Will Never Break”. And Berry finally closed the show to perform her new song “Ungowami” as the winner.

All these achievements and winnings couldn’t have been made possible for Berry without the non regrettable effort of her fans, who she always call “My Berries” week after week to show appreciation for their supports and votes; and will continue to do so after the show.

She wrote this earlier today, “Appreciation post to my Berries before tonight rolls around.

You have been one of the best things that has happened in my life.

The love, support and prayers that I received from you throughout these past few months honestly gave me sanity and strength to pull through.

No matter the outcome I am so proud of you all for the way you conducted yourselves and represented me – smiling, love, kindness and good hearts.

I love you all and I’ll be eternally grateful to God for allowing us to become team Berries. ?❤️??? Cheers to you!
